Busy Busy year! Since my last post in February, I got married, attended two other weddings for family members, got my house financed, joined the local artists' group, spent the summer displaying my work locally, and painted painted painted! As the end of the year draws near, I am on a veritable painting FRENZY, working hard towards my goal of finishing ALL my unfinished canvases before the start of the new year. This goal was set so that A) I can have closure with a lot of things I've been working on for a long time. B) I can start the new year FRESH! February 2010

Greetings Greetings! Here we are halfway through another lovely month. The house is still keeping me very occupied. We started remodeling the kitch' on New Years' day and it's been steadily siphoning my time since. Fun stuff though! In artistic news I am still painting more than ever and working to finish some long unfinished things. In the meanwhile I am keeping up with my comic at www.pedestriantoons.com, though I am behind on posting them here. It's still weekly though. I'll probably do a mass-update upload here sometime this week of back-dated comics from the main site. Till then...

so what paint u use to do ur pieces?
it depends on the piece. I've done a lot of work in oils, such as:

& Acrylics.

Although I love the look oils give, my favorite way to work is in Acrylic now- mostly because it dries faster and I can move fluidly from one piece to another without a lot of wait time.

I especially like to use Acrylic on Illustration board, like for this tree piece.

What that combination lets me do is use the Acrylic almost like a watercolor- washes, translucency, and layers, and then I do the detail work with colored pencil. It gives me maximum control.

Cheers!
ahh i see! alot go on about that illustration board, mite hav a look at a blank piece so i no what to look out for
GO GO TEAM GAGA :D
